Woman is axis of household. Joint efforts are needed for women's emancipation in society. Madhya Pradesh government is sensitive towards women. These opinions were expressed at Shakti Kumbh. Emphasis was laid on organic farming by agro experts from India and abroad at Krishi Kumbh during parallel session on the first day of at Ninaura near Ujjain today.
Shri Bharat Gupta said that women are more capable than men in nature, duties and mental condition. In the form of Shakti, women free their children from sense of insecurity. He said that women should be given equal status.
Smt. Indu Pandey said that targets should be fixed for constant development of women. Instead of Vichar, 'Vyavahar Kumbh' should be held. Works done for development of tribal women in Madhya Pradesh are laudable. Gender should be given priority in every development work.
Sushri Meera Shiva said that women need to pay special attention to their health. Dispowerment should be stopped before empowerment. Women should be apprised of laws. Smt. Indu Rao presented 7-point agenda for development of women and children. She informed that condition of rural women is not good. She said that education is very necessary for women. Women should be allowed to air their views at social level. This would smoothen path of development.
Prof. Mohammad Ghulam Rahman from Bangladesh said that he is thankful to the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan for invitation to the event. Beti Bachao Abhiyan of Madhya Pradesh government is highly praiseworthy. His country has also given slogan 'Small Family-Happy Family'. Emphasis should be laid on women's empowerment through publicity. He suggested to promote women's opinions in media.
