Madhya Pradesh has become fastest growing state in the country. Unprecedented development has been undertaken in the state in power sector. Historic work has also been done in road sector. This was stated by Public Relations, Energy, New & Renewable Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla while dedicating newly construction 33/11 KV power sub-station at Bijawar in Chhatarpur district today.
Shri Shukla said that unprecedented work has been undertaken in the energy sector in the state during last 13 years. Before year 2003, power generation in the state was mere 3,300 MW, which has increased to about 17 thousand MW now. Similarly, number of 133/32 JV sub-stations has increased from 140 to 750 and transformers from one lakh 50 thousand to about 5 lakh. Now, power is also being supplied from MP to other state. Madhya Pradesh is no more a sick state. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has lauded development in Madhya Pradesh at global level. Minister Shri Shukla said that there would be no power shortage in the future also. He advised villagers to take connection to consume electricity instead of power theft. He said that power is axis of development. At present, power supply to farmers is being done at flat rate. The government is also starting Mukhyamantri Sthayi Motor Pump Connection Yojana.
The Minister directed to ensure power supply in tribal dominated village Devra. He said that world's biggest solar power plant is situated at California in America. Now, the state government is establish world's biggest solar power plant at Badwar hillock in Gurh tahasil of Rewa district. He also directed district collector to select land for solar power plant at Chhatarpur.
MLAs Shri Pushpendra Nath Pathak, Smt. Rekha Yadav and Smt. Lalita Yadav also spoke on the occasion.
